Robot Chicken taking on The Walking Dead in new special

Robert Kirkman will probably guest star ... again

Seth Green will host a new The Walking Dead-themed Robot Chicken special on Adult Swim later this year.

The network announced the special today with a couple of other programming highlights, including a new live-action series from Ricky and Morty writer, Tom Kauffman. Green will be re-teaming with his co-creator and fellow executive producer, Matthew Senreich, to write the claymation special. Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and the show's executive producer Scott Gimple will also join Green and Senreich to help write and voice the animated characters.

This isn't the first time Robot Chicken has tackled zombies, though. In 2012, Green wrote a sketch called "Zombie Love" that used parts of The Walking Dead. Kirkman also made an appearance in that segment.

Adult Swim has yet to announce an airdate for the special, but considering The Walking Dead is off the air until October, it might be a while before this comes to fruition.
