An immersive theme park attraction based on Mass Effect is now open at California's Great America, located in Santa Clara, California. Following a private event for select visitors yesterday, the general public can visit the park to try out Mass Effect: New Earth, a "4D holographic journey."
The ride has visitors wear 3D glasses as a live performer narrates a trip through space, according to Great America. The six-minute attraction features moving seats, a high-resolution LED screen and other sensory overloading technical effects. The video above details how that all works, while teasing what Mass Effect fans in particular can look forward to.
For those who can't make it out to California, look forward to the series' next game: Mass Effect Andromeda, launching in early 2017.
