The CW announces plans for Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow event

Oh boy

Following The CW's announcement today that Supergirl would remain in its 8 p.m. ET time slot following the show's move from CBS, the network also confirmed its newest superhero would be featured in a big event along with the Flash, Arrow and the heroes from Legends of Tomorrow.

Before the network's presentation at the television upfront conference in New York City, chief Mark Pedowitz said that he was excited for Supergirl to be joining the network and added that fans of the show can expect the biggest crossover event yet.

"Just imagine what our superhero crossover episode is going to look like come December," he said, as reported by Gizmodo.

Last December, the network hosted a week of crossover events, with Arrow traveling to help out the Flash and vice versa. The network used the crossover specials to introduce the heroes from Legends of Tomorrow, which premiered as part of the network's mid-season roster in January.

Supergirl's second season will premiere this fall on The CW.
