X-Men: Apocalypse star Jennifer Lawrence says she would love to continue to be a part of the X-Men universe, but only if fellow co-stars James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are, too.
Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly that she, McAvoy and Fassbender made a pact to only reprise their roles in another installment if the others did, but added she was definitely interested in playing Mystique at least one more time.
"Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking, like, ‘Will you come back?' ‘I dunno.' ‘I'll come back, if you come back,'" Lawrence told the magazine. "Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn't come back, none of us are."
Lawrence, who's gone back-and-forth about whether she would want to continue starring in the franchise for quite some time, said that Mystique was a great character, but she had some trepidations about having to wear the body paint again. The actress added that sitting in the chair for hours at a time every day for three months gets to be pretty waring over the three-month shooting period.
Apocalypse marks the final installment in Bryan Singer's trilogy, but Fox isn't done with the X-Men franchise yet. There have been rumors that the next series will focus on X-Force and a younger generation of mutants — many of whom will be introduced in Apocalypse.
X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters May 27.
