Dishonored 2's voice cast features Rosario Dawson, Sam Rockwell and other stars

And some veteran voice actors, too

In addition to an open-ended, choice-driven story and the ability to play as a pacifist or master assassin, Dishonored 2 is continuing least one more element of the original game: an all-star voice cast. Game Informer reports that the sequel will feature Hollywood actors from movies such as Moon and TV shows like Daredevil and Game of Thrones.

Dishonored 2's two main characters, however, will be brought to life by people who are primarily voice actors, not screen actors.

Corvo Attano was a silent protagonist in the original Dishonored, but he will speak in the sequel, in which he is voiced by Stephen Russell. A veteran of Bethesda games, Russell has previously voiced characters such as Nick Valentine in Fallout 4 and Mercer Frey in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

Emily Kaldwin was 10 years old when she was kidnapped at the beginning of Dishonored, and she was voiced in that game by Chloë Grace Moretz. The sequel takes place about 15 years later, and Erica Luttrell (Fallout 4, Steven Universe) provides the voice for Emily as an adult.

At least one other Dishonored character is returning: The Outsider. However, he is voiced by a different actor in the sequel — Robin Lord Taylor (Gotham, The Walking Dead) instead of Billy Lush. And although Dishonored 2 takes place in a new locale, the southern city of Karnaca, a character from the first game's setting of Dunwall plays a role in the sequel: Mortimer Ramsey of the Dunwall City Watch, who is voiced by Sam Rockwell (Galaxy Quest, Iron Man 2).

Keeping the Marvel train rolling, two stars of Netflix's Daredevil play important roles in Dishonored 2. Vincent D'Onofrio (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) provides the voice for Luca Abele, the Duke of Serkonos. And Rosario Dawson (Sin City) voices Meagan Foster, the Dreadful Wale captain. Finally, two actors from a couple of violent HBO series are appearing in Dishonored 2. Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) voices Paolo, the leader of the Howler gang, while Jamie Hector (The Wire) plays Liam Byrne, the Vice Overseer.

Dishonored 2 publisher Bethesda Softworks also announced a release date for the game today: It will be available Nov. 11 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
