Superhot VR is coming later this year as an Oculus Rift exclusive

A virtual reality version of Superhot is heading to Oculus Rift later this year, the game's developer said in a recent blog post. After hinting at plans to re-design the game for VR earlier this year, the Superhot Team confirmed that the Rift exclusive would be available by the end of 2016.

"We're now working super close with the guys at Oculus to release Superhot VR later this year," the team said in its first developer's log. "We're really trying to capitalize on all of the new design possibilities that Virtual Reality is giving us."

On Reddit, the team confirmed that a Rift version of Superhot is its current focus.

"For now, we concentrate on Oculus," PR officer Szymon Krukowski said in a post. Previously, the team had simply mentioned investigating VR devices in general, although Oculus demoed a virtual reality take on Superhot at E3 2015.

Also coming to the time-bending first-person shooter later this year is downloadable content. The updates will be free to owners of the game and feature new levels. The team teases that the DLC will also introduce "a cool new twist."
