Two more maps revealed for Modern Warfare Remastered

Overgrown and Bog make five; five more to be announced

Two more multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered were revealed by Activision in an interview with Forbes.

The two maps are Overgrown and Bog. Overgrown, set in a long abandoned town overrun by vegetation, appeared in 2007's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and two years later in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Bog, a junk field set in Saudi Arabia, was only in the first Modern Warfare.

The three others that were announced by Activision on Monday are Backlot, Crash and Crossfire. Five more maps, promised to be fan favorites from the breakthrough hit, will be announced later.

There is more about the development of Modern Warfare Remastered in the interview. The development team at Raven Software, which is handling the makeover, says modern technology will be able to render visually complex maps in ways that were not possible on the previous console generation.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will only be available with one of three of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's special editions, which start at $79.99. It will not be sold separately. The two games launch together this Nov. 4 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
