The New Mutants might have just been revealed, thanks to director Josh Boone's Instagram account. Boone updated his profile earlier today with several pictures bearing the hashtag "New Mutants," suggesting that the characters would appear in the upcoming X-Men spinoff.
Among the gifted youngsters making a possible appearance in the movie are the sorceress Magik; transforming werewolf Wolfsbane; Dani Moonstar, otherwise known as the mind-reading Mirage; solar absorbing Sunspot; the flying Cannonball and shape-shifting Warlock.
Boone posted group photos as well as individual glimpses at the comic book team. The New Mutants film has yet to be dated, nor has it been cast yet. Maisie Williams of Game of Thrones fame was reportedly eyeing the role of Wolfsbane earlier this month, however.
Other names attached thus far: Ana Taylor-Joy as Magik, Alexandra Shipp as X-Men favorite Storm and James McAvoy, who will reportedly return as Charles Xavier. He'll also be seen in X-Men: Apocalypse later this month; the film hits theaters May 27.
