Studio Ghibli VR package now available on Rift, Vive

Rediscover Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro

Development studio Red Paw has released a VR package for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive that allows users to explore some of the most iconic settings in Studio Ghibli movies.

Designer Nick Pittom, who has worked on recreating scenes out of popular anime series like Cowboy Bebop in a non-VR setting for years, announced on Twitter that he wanted to change his focus and create more art for VR platforms. In the three demos he's released, users have the option to wander around the boiler room scene in Spirited Away, the bus stop scene in My Neighbor Toroto and the meadow scene in Howl's Moving Castle.

Pittom has other VR projects in the work, which can be seen here, but said that he's willing to explore more Ghibli titles, as well as anime series.

The demos are currently available for free through the developer's website. Screenshots of the demos can be seen below.
