Nioh gets E3 trailer, new demo in August

New demo, more demons

Team Ninja plans to release a demo for action game Nioh in August for PlayStation 4, according to Koei Tecmo’s Twitter account.

This will be the second demo released for the game this year.

Results from an online survey about the first demo for the game were released earlier this year and showed many of those surveyed felt the game needed tutorials, reworked controls and better camera placement. The survey also showed that players though the user interface could be improved and the beginning game’s difficulty needed balancing.

About 850,000 people downloaded that first demo.

News of the timing of a second demo hit on the opening day of E3 in Los Angeles, which also saw the release of a new trailer.

The new Nioh demo, which the publisher said will include more of what everyone loved about the alpha demo, will be playable at E3.

Publisher Koei Tecmo describe Nioh as a "dark, fantasy action game" which has players traversing a war-torn Japan plagued with demons, as a blond-haired swordsman.

The PlayStation 4 exclusive is scheduled for a 2016 release.
