Minecraft continues to churn out sales following Microsoft's late 2014 purchase of the game and the studio that made it.
In 2016 alone, according to Microsoft's numbers, Minecraft has averaged more than 53,000 copies sold a day. And the total number of copies sold since the game's launch, as of yesterday evening, was 106,859,714. That would make Minecraft owners the twelfth largest country in the world, if they all decided to go live together in one happy, game-playing commune.
