Batman v Superman extended edition heading to theaters for one night only

In select cities and theaters

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's extended edition, which carries an extra 30 minutes of footage and secures the film an R rating, will be available for those who purchase the film on Blu-ray or download it. It will also, however, be available again in select theaters for one night only on June 27.

Warner Bros. announced yesterday that it would be bringing the extended version to theaters in select cities, including Austin, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. The film, which comes in at 181 minutes, includes entirely new footage and characters that were cut out of the theatrical version, including Jena Malone's mystery role.

For those who can't make it out to see it in theaters, the Blu-ray and digital version of the film will be available on June 28. A list of all participating cities and theaters can be found below. Tickets for the screenings can be purchased here.
