This weekend, from Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26, thousands of fighting game enthusiasts will battle it out at CEO 2016 in Orlando, Florida. Not only does it promise some top-tier fighting game talent squaring off, it's a pretty good preview of next month's big spectacle, the premier fighting game tournament, Evo 2016.
CEO 2016 includes tournaments for the nine fighting games featured at Evo this year — Street Fighter 5, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator, Mortal Kombat X, Pokkén Tournament, Killer Instinct, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Tekken 7 — as well as one more, Ultra Street Fighter 4. A handful of side tournaments for fans of anime fighting games will take place on Friday and Saturday, though these matches aren't officially livestreamed.
Many of the fights, including top-eight contests, will be streamed on CEOgaming's Twitch channel, embedded above, while certain game-specific finals matches will be broadcast on official channels throughout the weekend: CapcomFighters (Street Fighter 5), Tekken (Tekken 7) and PokkenTournament (Pokkén Tournament).
