Activision's Call of Duty fan-focused event, Call of Duty XP, will return to Los Angeles this September. This year's event will give fans their first hands-on look at the multiplayer components for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, as well as a Call of Duty virtual reality experience for PlayStation VR.
The event will also include a first look at new downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Call of Duty XP will also be home to the Call of Duty World League Championship, where players will be competing for $2 million in prizes. Activision also promises "live-action experiences inspired by Call of Duty," including a paintball course based on Treyarch's Nuketown map, Zombies laser tag and more. The event will include developer panels with Call of Duty studios Treyarch, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games.
Call of Duty XP 2016 will take place at the Forum in Inglewood, California, Sept. 2- 4. Tickets for the event go on sale at 10 a.m. PT June 11. Pricing is as follows:
- Enlisted Ticket: $49 - General admission seating for three days of the Call of Duty World League Championship and access to Call of Duty XP gameplay and activities
- Veteran Ticket: $129 - General admission seating for three days of the Call of Duty World League Championship, access to Call of Duty XP gameplay and activities, the $80 digital Legacy edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and a Care Package with exclusive Call of Duty XP swag
- Prestige Ticket: $199 - Scheduled activities and gameplay, VIP line for activities and gameplay, player meet and greets, access to the VIP lounge, parking pass, premium seating for the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer reveal and Call of Duty World League Championship, a $100 Digital Deluxe version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and a Care Package with exclusive Call of Duty XP swag
Activision held the inaugural Call of Duty XP in 2011, in advance of the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The 2011 event featured recreations of The Pit and Scrapyard from Modern Warfare 2. Kanye West and Dropkick Murphys supplied the show's musical entertainment.
