The Xbox One version of Fallout 4 and all of its downloadable content are currently free on the Xbox Store in what is either a massive price screw up or one of the best deals going for Xbox One owners.
Fallout 4, its digital deluxe bundle and the game's season pass all currently ring up for $0.00. The deal — or, possibly, the reason HR will list for someone's termination from Microsoft — was spotted by NeoGAF user Kindekuma. We've tested the download ourselves and were able to purchase the game and its season pass for free — though the Xbox website appears to be throwing some errors when loading certain products.
It's unclear whether this is an aggressive promotion from Xbox and Bethesda or if there will soon be an open position in Microsoft's digital retail division, but we've inquired with the company for details.
Update: Fallout 4 and its add-ons are now listed as "Not Available," and no longer available to download for free.
Update 2: Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb offered the following statement: "An unintended discount caused some excitement today. While we loved the enthusiasm it generated, prices for Fallout 4 games have been restored."
