The team at Firaxis has released the third piece of downloadable content for XCOM 2, the turn-based tactical strategy game from publisher 2K. Titled Shen’s Last Gift, it adds robotic mechs to the game, and also allows players to send engineer Lily Shen into harm’s way for the first time.

In the original Firaxis XCOM, the reboot released in 2012, one of players’ closest advisors was Dr. Raymond Shen. As lead engineer, he was responsible for manufacturing some of the game’s most potent weapon systems. In XCOM 2 his role is filled by his daughter Lily. As one of the first characters players meet in the game, she provides much of the game’s emotional pacing.

Shen’s Last Gift sends your XCOM troopers on a dangerous missions led by Lily Shen to a secret military base where her father’s last project has slowly been coming online. If successful, XCOM forces will for the first time be able to field autonomous robotic mechs against the alien menace.

Shen’s Last Gift is available now for $9.99, or as part of a collection of other DLC releases called the Reinforcement Pack for $19.99. You can watch a livestream of our time with the previous DLC, Alien Hunters, below.
