The app has skyrocketed to popularity, even among people who didn't take part in the Pokémon craze that took the 90s by storm.

It struck us that this app is probably the first time that people who didn't own a Nintendo handheld system could play a Pokémon game. And sure, it's not exactly like the Pokémon games we're used to (even though trading is coming!), but that's not really the point.

Suddenly, Pokémon is accessible. Everyone can get in on the fun.

That's pretty cool. Despite the simplicity of the gameplay and the bugginess of the app itself, it has clearly struck a chord with a lot of people.

So yeah, send this video to your grandparents. They're very curious about what you're up to these days.
