Finally, someone has a definitive answer to the question "How do you pronounce Ubisoft?" Is it "you-bee-soft" or "oo-be-soft"? According to the people who should know best — the employees of Ubisoft — the answer is ... kind of both? It depends.
In a video uploaded to Ubisoft's YouTube channel, staffers from around the world weigh in on the pronunciation of the publisher's name. While some say "you-bee-soft" and some say "oo-be-soft" — others even say "you-bee-eye-soft," which we've heard from Japanese and Chinese speakers — there seems to be something resembling consensus: If you're talking with a native English speaker, you say "you-bee-soft." When speaking with a native French speaker, "oo-bee-soft." That's CEO Yves Guillemot's answer, anyway.
Just never pronounce it as "vi-ven-dee."
