Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition coming this September

Three seasons, one package

Microsoft and developer Iron Galaxy Studios will release Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition, a collection of all the game’s fighters and other content to date, Sept. 20 on Xbox One.

The Definitive Edition release includes 26 Killer Instinct characters from the fighting game’s first three seasons, 20 stages, Killer Instinct Classic 1 & 2, the Killer Instinct original soundtrack and an exclusive Gold Gargos skin. The package, which will be sold as a disc and digitally, costs $39.99.

Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition will also come with a few special features, like character trailers, concept art and an in-game map with stage location details.

It sounds like Iron Galaxy has plans for more Killer Instinct content, based on a recent survey that asked fans what they want to see after season 3. Possible options include Perfect Dark’s Joanna Dark, a Halo Brute and a Crackdown agent.

While Killer Instinct is also available on Windows 10, Microsoft says the Definitive Edition release is only available for Xbox One.
