Rogue One's newest droid, K-2SO, is brutally honest

Think C-3PO

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's newest droid, K-2SO (voiced by Alan Tudyk), has a lot in common with another popular Star Wars droid, C-3PO.

Talking to a gathered crowd at Star Wars Celebration in London, Tudyk spoke about the droid that he was voicing and his relation to the rebel forces. The team that was originally supposed to find the plans to the Death Star on their mission was Cassein (Diego Luna), Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and K-2SO, Cassein's best friend. Cassein reprogrammed the droid to be incredibly honest and speak his mind, much like C-3PO did for Luke Skywalker in the original trilogy.

When asked if Tudyk was able to speak to Anthony Daniels at all, the actor who voiced C-3PO, Tudyk said he had and they spoke about bringing a sarcastic bite to their characters.

The first look at Tudyk's K-2SO can be seen above. Star Wars Celebration will be happening all weekend. All of the biggest livestreams can be seen here.
