Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's latest poster features the Death Star

And a new world, too

Samit Sarkar (he/him) is Polygon’s deputy managing editor. He has more than 15 years of experience covering video games, movies, television, and technology.

The new poster for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, revealed today during Star Wars Celebration Europe, focuses on the battle between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire.

In the foreground, we see a gunfight that appears to be taking place on the planet Scarif, which director Gareth Edwards discussed during the Rogue One panel today. The production headed to the Maldives to film Scarif, which is supposed to be a paradise in the universe of Star Wars. Meanwhile, the Death Star — the first one, of course, since Rogue One takes place just before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope — looms in the background.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters Dec. 16. You can check out the full poster below.
