"Access Denied," the seventh episode of Telltale's Minecraft: Story Mode, will debut July 26, the studio announced today.
The episode will be available next week on Android, iOS, Mac, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It is also on its way to the Windows Store.
"Access Denied" is the middle chapter of the three-episode Adventure Pass expansion to the original Story Mode tale, which took place over four episodes; the fifth bridged the gap between that story and the new arc. Here's the synopsis of "Access Denied" from Telltale:
In Episode 7: "Access Denied," continuing their portal journey in search of home, Jesse and crew land in a world entirely controlled by PAMA — a sinister "thinking machine" determined to command everyone and everything in pursuit of optimal usefulness and efficiency. Forced on the run to avoid capture and assimilation, you'll need to work with a new ally to defeat the corrupted computer and free the population it has enslaved.
A new voice actor is joining Minecraft: Story Mode in this episode: Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) will play the role of Harper, the creator of PAMA.
"Access Denied" will cost $4.99 on its own, and will be available as part of the $14.99 Adventure Pass. Players must own at least the first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode in order to purchase the add-on series.
