This year, San Diego Comic-Con will be bringing its own all-day show to the convention floor, and along with it, interviews with attendees, backstage access and even livestreams of certain panels.
According to a press release from the convention organizers, Comic-Con HQ LIVE will broadcast everyday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. PT starting July 21 through July 24 directly on the event's website, with specific segments being made available to stream on Twitch throughout the weekend. Some of the interviews include Alan Tudyk (Rogue One), Nathan Fillion (Firefly), Dave Franco (Nerve) and the cast of the new Power Rangers film.
The show will also highlight some of the talent in Artist Alley and will include footage of some of the biggest booths in the convention center, including what the major television networks and film studios are planning to bring. Unfortunately, the show will not be capturing any footage of the biggest panels taking place in Hall H.
Some of these segments will be broadcasted on Twitch, but Comic-Con organizers have not said which ones. In addition, Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman's entertainment company, Skybound Entertainment, will be livestreaming its own coverage on Twitch. This includes interviews with Kirkman himself, as well as interviews with the cast of The Walking Dead, artists and writers involved with the comic series and interviews with Telltale developers working on The Walking Dead episodic games.
San Diego Comic-Con kicks off on Thursday, July 21, and runs through July 24.
