Destiny: Rise of Iron developer Bungie is bringing back everyone's favorite rocket launcher, the Gjallarhorn, in the upcoming expansion. The studio is marking that weapon's return with a vehicular accessory: the Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow.
The Iron Gjallarwing is perhaps even more over-the-top than its namesake, with shiny silver feathers covering the front and rear extensions of the vehicle. So the trailer's backing track, "O Fortuna," seems fitting.
The Sparrow has a paint job that matches the Iron Gjallarhorn's black and gold color scheme, and it's just as capable of doing tricks as some of the other Sparrows, as you can see in the trailer from Bungie's livestream today.
As for how Guardians will obtain the Iron Gjallarwing, it is joining the Iron Gjallarhorn as a pre-order bonus for Rise of Iron. The Gjallarhorn will be available in a non-"Iron" version, and everyone will be able to obtain the weapon by completing a quest in the expansion. But it's unclear at this point if the same is true for the Iron Gjallarwing.
