Yesterday Yooka-Laylee developer Playtonic Games released Toybox, a special Kickstarter backer-exclusive demo meant to give players a chance to go hands-on with the game's core mechanics before its release next year. The demo, which takes place in a sparse geometric grid, was created to both allow the game's supporters to get a feel for how the Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor plays, in addition to allowing fans to give Playtonic feedback on things like the movement and camera controls.
Above, check out over 27 minutes of hands-on gameplay from Yooka-Laylee Toybox, as we collect all 100 collectibles, each scrap of dialogue we could find, and every hidden secret the demo holds.
Yooka-Laylee will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC in early 2017.
