Interactive Game of Thrones map will make you an expert on Westeros

And all the other little islands in the known world

Now that Game of Thrones is over for another year, it's time to try and find something that can fill that hole in your heart that aches every Sunday night. In an attempt to ease the pain, the team over at Quarter Maester has put together an incredibly detailed, interactive map for those looking to get a better understanding of the known world.

The map, which can be found here, is built through Google Maps API and allows people to zoom in and out to either focus on one particular area, like Dorne, or look at the sheer size of the entire world. Zooming in and clicking on specific areas will bring the user to that city's corresponding Wikipedia page.

In an effort to be as spoiler-free as possible, the map also includes notes on cities that are more heavily explored in later seasons or haven't been explored at all. Users have the option to set restrictions on what information they can see on the map and if they're not fully caught up, certain areas will remain hidden.

Game of Thrones wrapped up its sixth season last week with one of the best finales yet. The show will return next April for a shorter seventh season.
