A new trailer for the first Star Wars anthology film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Celebration, will premiere following an hourlong special about the making of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
According to the description of the special, which was posted on Making Star Wars, the trailer will be about three minutes in length. The trailer marks the beginning of Lucasfilm's annual Star Wars Celebration, which will take place in London, England this year between July 15 and 17. More details about Rogue One are expected to be announced during the convention.
Rogue One follows Jyn Erso, a female soldier and former criminal, who's recruited by Rebel forces to break into the Empire's camp and steal the plans to the Death Star. The film stars Felicity Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Alyn Tudyk, Forest Whitaker and Mads Mikkelsen. It's being directed by Gareth Edwards, best known for his work on the 2014 Godzilla film.
The Force Awakens special will air on July 15 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Rogue One will be released in theaters Dec. 16.
