When Gears of War 4 comes to Windows 10 in October, the PC version will support 4K video resolution. New footage of the game — which is also coming to Xbox One — posted to YouTube today shows what 4K brings to Gears.
The new 10-minute video shows Gears of War 4 heroes JD, Kait and Del pursuing an enemy through an old COG fort. There, they have a run-in with Swarm Drones and Pouncers, and show off some familiar-looking Gears gameplay. There are roadie runs, there's on-demand cover and there's a lot of juice to look at.
Microsoft says the 4K gameplay was captured on a Windows 10 PC equipped with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPU. The company also released "minimum, recommended and ideal" hardware specs for the Windows 10 version, which you can see in the graphic below:

Gears of War 4 comes to Windows PC and Xbox One on Oct. 11. The game supports Microsoft's Xbox Play Anywhere program, meaning Gears fans can purchase the game once and play it on both platforms.
