Steep drops this December

Start practicing your slalom

Ubisoft will release its open world winter sports game Steep on Dec. 2, the company announced today. The PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One title is set to allow aspiring skiiers, snowboarders and paragliders take to the Alps just in time for winter, with the landscape to expand further following launch.

Alaskan slopes will be added to the game as part of a free update, Ubisoft said in a press release. A season pass, included with the game’s Gold Edition, will bring further content to the game later on. The Gold Edition of Steep, retailing for $79.99, also adds extra challenges, outfits, "glowing equipment" and some wingsuit flare. The season pass will also be sold separately, although Ubisoft hasn't announced pricing.

A Steep beta will be offered to all players sometime later this year. Registration is now open on the game’s website. We checked out the game at E3 2016, where it was first announced; watch our trek through the frozen tundra below.
