The Windows PC version of Rayman Origins, the beloved platformer from Ubisoft Montpellier, is now free on Uplay via the Ubisoft Club.
Rayman Origins is the third PC game that Ubisoft has released for free on Uplay as a way to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary this year. The giveaways began in June with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time; last month’s free game was Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell. Seven games in total will be offered during the promotion, which will run through December.
Ubisoft originally released Rayman Origins in November 2011; the PC version arrived in March 2012. The colorful game starring the cartoon character with hands and feet but no limbs — and a few of his friends, in co-op play — is a side-scrolling 2D platformer with a gorgeous art style.
In order to get Rayman Origins free, you’ll need a Uplay account. In order to play it, you’ll need a computer running Windows — although the game is available on Mac OS X, the Uplay offer only applies to PC.
