Diesel didn’t say how the Guardians characters would be incorporated into the film — or even if they’d appear alongside the Avengers at all — but said that he was excited about the prospect the crossover brings.
"The Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity War and that’s very incredibly exciting," Diesel said. "Incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting and something that if you were a part of our page, you knew before everybody."
Diesel didn’t add what the film means for the future of the Guardians characters or how they might be used throughout the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it enters its third phase, but spoke about some of his other projects. He’s currently working on his sequel to xXx and shared some knowledge about what people can expect out of that film. In a previous Facebook video, Diesel provided a first look at one of the sets they had built for an action sequence that will be used in a film and promised to keep fans updated on his page.
Diesel also spoke about his upcoming Fast and Furious movie, Fast 8. Diesel didn’t get into the alleged drama between himself and co-star Dwayne Johnson that came as a result of Johnson posting a message on Facebook calling out the actor for being a "candy ass," but said working with talented actors like Helen Mirren was, "nothing but a delight."
Fast 8 is due out April 14, 2017. xXx: Return of Xander Cage will premiere a couple of months earlier, on Jan. 20, with Avengers: Infinity War scheduled to be released a year later, on May 4, 2018. The full Q&A video can be seen below.
