Nintendo is releasing a new look for the New Nintendo 3DS XL: a Galaxy pattern, in stores later this week. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime himself showed up to announce the design on Twitter, which you can watch above.
It’s a minute-long clip starring an ecstatic Fils-Aime as he sings the praises of the intergalactic design scheme. So excited is Fils-Aime about the hardware’s latest theme, in fact, that Nintendo decided to ship it out to retailers today. It will cost $199.99 once it hits shelves, although there’s no set date on when customers can expect to find it.
Nintendo and its fans both have demonstrated an appreciation for all things space-related for quite some time. Super Mario Galaxy was the first 3D Mario game to receive a sequel, and both are highly regarded — with many fans even hoping for a third. The New Nintendo 3DS XL hardware doesn’t quite fit the bill, but Nintendo hopes customers will be just as pumped as Fils-Aime is anyway.
