China Rising, the map and vehicle pack for Battlefield 4 that launched in December 2013, is free to everyone for the next week, Electronic Arts announced yesterday. The offer is good on all platforms.
The giveaway continues the "Road to Battlefield 1" campaign of freebies and discounts for recent Battlefield games.
China Rising introduced four maps: Silk Road, Altai Range, Gullin Peaks and Dragon Pass. It also added the Air Superiority game mode (among airborne vehicles) and added a dirt bike and a bomber to the vehicle fleet.
Also, from Aug. 2 to Aug. 8, Battlefield 4 will feature a community mission that awards everyone who participates a gold backpack. More details are at this link.
Battlefield 4 launched in October 2013 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. China Rising's launch resulted in the game being banned in that nation.
The DLC is available through either console's marketplace or the Origin Store.
