Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is just a couple of months away from being released and as the holiday season approaches, companies like Mattel and Hasbro are getting ready to unveil their new line of toys inspired by the film.
In a new video project from Disney and Lucasfilm, in partnership with the toy brands they work with, many of the new figures can be seen. There are action figures, statues, Lego sets and more that are featured in the two-minute, Robot Chicken-like video. The video was created by a collaboration of superfans working with the two studios.
The video is mostly comedic in tone, but there are moments that seem like they could exist in the film when it’s released. For example, the moment that Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) meets Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) may actually provide some insight into the film itself. Or, of course, it could all mean nothing and instead all that we have is an adorable two-minute video with some pretty cute toys.
According to a press release from Disney, the toys seen in the video will be available to purchase in stores on Sept. 30, but there aren’t any prices as of yet. More toys are expected to be revealed in the next chapter of the series.
