No Man’s Sky soundtrack streaming now for free before its official release

Take a trip through the infinite universe

No Man’s Sky: Music for an Infinite Universe, the soundtrack to the upcoming sci-fi exploration game, is available to stream for free ahead of its Aug. 5 release. You can listen to all 10 tracks in the video above.

The soundtrack was composed by British post-rock band 65daysofstatic, who announced their involvement with developer Hello Games in 2014. As with everything else in No Man’s Sky’s universe, the music as it appears in the game will be procedurally generated.

The album contains 10 tracks, as well as six ambient "soundscapes," which are exclusive to the physical release on Laced Records, a label known for releasing soundtracks to games like Hotline Miami and Noct. The album will be released on digital download and CD, as well as two different vinyl versions.

No Man’s Sky is coming to PlayStation 4 on Aug. 9. The game will also be released on Windows PC, though the game’s website states that the Windows version launches worldwide on Aug. 12.
