Tales of Berseria arrived in Japan last month, but we’ll still be waiting until 2017 for the game in North America. However, at Tokyo Game Show we were able to play through the first ever English demo of the game and see how the localization is shaping up.
This demo focused on Berseria’s battle system, which follows the series’ standard of being fast-paced and action-packed. In our eight minutes with the game, we learned some combos, smashed some monsters in the face and took on a powerful boss.
You can watch the English demo for yourself above. As a role-playing game, the final version of Tales of Berseria will also feature a lot of plot to go along with the fighting.
The full game will be released in North America for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC in early 2017. A PlayStation 3 version of Tales of Berseria will remain exclusive to Japan.
