Gravity Rush 2, the upcoming PlayStation 4 continuation of the Vita fan favorite, is nearing its December release. If you can’t wait to check it out, we’ve got 15 minutes of high-quality footage from Tokyo Game Show for you to take a look at.
While this is the same demo that was shown at E3 earlier this year, it’s a newer, near-complete build of the game, and it’s running beautifully. We also were able to nab a member of the development team to take the controller, so you’re seeing someone who really knows what they’re doing at the controls here.
For fans of the the original Gravity Rush, the biggest change in the sequel is the introduction of new gravity modes that shift how main character Kat controls and what combat moves she has access to. Lunar mode makes Kat move in slower, wider arcs through the air, while Jupiter mode allows her to smash down on enemies, letting lose a massive area-of-effect attack.
But instead of reading us explaining it, why not watch the video for yourself above? Or read through our very satisfied preview from E3. If you’d like to play it for yourself, Gravity Rush 2 will release for PlayStation 4 on Dec. 2.
