The Steam release of Remedy Entertainment’s time bending action game, Quantum Break, has been pushed from Sept. 14 to Sept. 29, THQ Nordic announced today. The physical retail release of Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition has also been delayed to the same date.
THQ Nordic, which is handling the game’s PC distribution, cited "additional time required for mastering and manufacturing" as reason for the delay.
While first announced as an Xbox One exclusive, Microsoft revealed in February that Xbox One copies of Quantum Break would come included with a downloadable Windows 10 version for free. This was an early indicator of the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, which allows people to play certain games on both systems without having to purchase them twice.
Up to this point, Quantum Break has been exclusively available on Xbox One and for Windows 10 through the Windows Store. When the game is released on Steam and physically for PC, it will run on Windows 7 and up.
