Telltale Batman’s second outing debuts later this month

Meet the “Children of Arkham”

The second episode of Batman: The Telltale Series will premiere on Sept. 20, the publisher announced. Titled "Children of Arkham," the installment will continue the story that began early last month.

Players can expect to see many of the same characters from Batman: The Telltale Series' first episode, which starred Bruce Wayne, Harvey Dent, Selina Kyle and other familiar characters from the Dark Knight’s universe. More characters will make an appearance later on in the season.

At this weekend’s PAX West, attendees can play along with the upcoming second episode live for the first public demonstration of Telltale’s new Crowd Play feature. That will take place at 8:30 PM P.T. this Saturday, Sept. 3, off-site during the convention.

The social mode allows an audience to help decide the course of the story, casting votes for choices they want the player to make on Batman’s behalf. Thousands of people can theoretically take part in Crowd Play; all it requires participants to have is an internet connection.

Telltale has plans for five episodes total in Batman’s first season. The entire season is available digitally on console and Steam, and it will be collected on disc starting next week. The PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of the game come to retail on Sept. 13, with the first episode included on-disc and the remaining four offered as downloads.
