Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta kicks off in October

First on PlayStation 4

This year’s Call of Duty game, Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, will get a multiplayer beta test that kicks off in October, Activision announced at today’s Call of Duty XP fan event.

Access to the beta appears to be limited to players who pre-order Infinite Warfare on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The beta is not coming to the Windows PC version of the game, according to Activision.

PS4 owners will get first crack at the beta on Oct. 14. Xbox One owners will have to wait for an unknown period of time. If it’s anything like last year’s multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, they won’t have to wait too long.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare comes to PS4, Windows PC and Xbox One Nov. 4.
