Sniper Elite 4's kill cam looks sorta like Mortal Kombat's

Melee kills will trigger the gruesome x-ray vision camera

Sniper Elite 4's first gameplay trailer shows fans of the series some significant differences between the game coming in February and the ones that have preceded it.

Running-and-gunning seems more viable, for starters, though that's not the point of a game titled "Sniper Elite." Also, the "kill-cam" showing shattered bones, torn organs and ruptured cojones will trigger Mortal Kombat-style on melee kills, too.

Sniper Elite 4 also brings back a target practice fan-favorite: Hitler. A campaign mission "Target Fuhrer" is being dangled as a pre-order incentive. That will be set in a U-boat facility somewhere in the Mediterranean and yes, jut-jawed hero Karl Fairburne will try to shoot the S.O.B. one more time.

Sniper Elite 4 brings the World War II stealth shooter to Italy to also put Hitler's BFF Mussolini in the crosshairs. It launches Feb. 14, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
