The supernatural abilities in the original Dishonored offered players a wide array of possibilities for clever murder, and this trailer for Dishonored 2 shows off some more creative solutions for guards standing in your way.
We’ve already seen some of these powers, like Emily Kaldwin’s Shadow Walk and Corvo Attano’s Bend Time. But the action in the Dishonored games is all about using multiple powers simultaneously or in quick succession to eliminate threats (or get through areas unnoticed, if you’re playing as a pacifist). And it’s always thrilling to see players using their special abilities to set up unique kills, like they’re orchestrating a series of hits or setting up a Rube Goldberg machine.
In this video, we see Emily and Corvo take out guards in a variety of settings. Sometimes the guards are attacking, and the assassin in question uses their powers to get out of a sticky situation. At other points, the enemies are caught unawares — like in our favorite clip, the last one, in which Corvo snatches a body with the help of some time manipulation.
