Rocket League players will get a new arena called AquaDome next month for free, developer Psyonix announced today. And while it apparently has nothing to do with Irrational Games' BioShock, officially, the new underwater arena appears to have drawn some influence from Irrational's franchise with its art deco aesthetic.
The release of AquaDome in October will coincide with the release of two new paid DLC Battle-Cars: Triton and Proteus. They'll cost $1.99 each.
AquaDome will be playable in casual and competitive playlists. Psyonix promises more details on October's add-on content soon, but you can check out the new underwater arena in action in the trailer above.
Rocket League is currently available for Linux, Mac, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. And if AquaDome has you hankering for more underwater action, 2K Games released a collection featuring BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite for PS4, Windows PC and Xbox One last week.
