Star Wars: Uprising, the free-to-play action role-playing game for Android and iOS, is shutting down in November, developer Kabam announced today. The mobile game will be decommissioned, Kabam says, because "the game is no longer achieving the level of success needed to maintain the game."
The game has already been delisted from Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store. Kabam has also shut down payments for Star Wars: Uprising. Next week, the developer plans to make changes to the game "in order to make the end of your journey as enjoyable as possible."
Star Wars: Uprising was released in 2015 and was considered part of Lucasfilm’s new canon for the Star Wars universe. The action-RPG was set between the events of Star Wars — Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and last year’s The Force Awakens, and let players take on missions in an ongoing battle against the remnants of the Galactic Empire.
Kabam plans to disconnect the servers for Star Wars: Uprising at 9 a.m. PT on Nov. 17.
