Bill Hader to voice Alpha 5 in Power Rangers movie

Joins Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks

The cast for Paramount Pictures’ upcoming Power Rangers movie continues to grow with Saturday Night Live veteran and comedic actor Bill Hader joining the film to voice the robot Alpha 5.

Paramount made the announcement yesterday after revealing a line of new posters for the film that showed off the Power Rangers with their corresponding Zords. In the Power Rangers series, Alpha 5 was a robot who helped the Power Rangers during their missions. More is expected to be revealed about Hader’s involvement in the film during the official panel for the movie at New York Comic Con.

Hader has voiced multiple characters in past films, including BB-8 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Fear in Pixar’s Inside Out. The actor is currently working on his IFC satirical series, Documentary Now!, which is being produced by former SNL colleagues Seth Meyers and Fred Armisen.

Hader joins other A-list actors, including Bryan Cranston (Zordon) and Elizabeth Banks (Rita Repulsa), in the film. Power Rangers is set to hit theaters March 24, 2017.
