Watch Luke Cage go up against the series’ main villain Cornell Stokes in new trailer

Just five days away

Luke Cage is set to premiere in just five days, and the newest trailer leading up to the premiere pits the titular hero against the series’ main villain, Cornell Stokes.

The trailer features themes that have been explored in other clips and videos that have been released over the past few months, including examining Cage’s reluctance to be the hero that he becomes. There are also new scenes of Cage’s body deflecting bullets, clips of Cornell and his family hanging at their night club, Harlem’s Paradise, and interactions between Cage and the various criminals running around New York.

There’s also a clip of Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple, who has become one of the only characters to branch out across all three Marvel shows on Netflix: Daredevil, Jessica Jones and now Luke Cage. Although we don’t get too much of a look at Claire in the new show from the trailer, it does show off a brief interaction between her and Cage.

Luke Cage is the third Netflix series that Marvel is producing in partnership with the streaming service. The full season will be available to stream on Sept. 30.
