Tokyo 42's open world of blocky assassination coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4

Tokyo 42 isn't a particularly easy game to describe. Even publisher Mode 7 resorts to "super stylish spinny-camera-isometric ultracolourful cyberpunk open-worldy assassin-fest" in its new press release. What we can now say pretty concretely thanks to said release is the game is coming to PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

The announcement was paired with a new trailer, which you can watch above. It's difficult to say for sure, but the new clip seems to depict both the single-player open world and the multiplayer mode, in which players attempt to blend in with the surrounding civilians before launching an attack on their opponents. Even if your eyes have trouble making out the ant-sized assassins, it's worth a watch if only for the killer cut from the Tokyo 42 soundtrack by Vicente Espi.

The game, which is developed by SMAC and is currently in a pre-alpha stage, is due at some point in 2017.
