PlayStation Network users are having trouble signing in to the service, according to Sony’s PSN status page.
As of 5:39 p.m. ET, account management — specifically, signing in to PSN accounts and creating them — is listed as "experiencing issues." The problems are affecting the PlayStation 4 alone.
"Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience," reads the status page.
If you’ve signed in recently, you should be good to go, but if not, you should keep checking the status page until Sony gives the all-clear.
Update: The PlayStation Network problems are now more widespread. Shortly before 6 p.m. ET, Sony updated the status page to note issues with "launching games, applications, or online features" on PlayStation 3, streaming PlayStation Now games on PS4 and "accessing some channels and features in PlayStation Vue" on all platforms.
Update 2: While PlayStation Vue customers are no longer having problems, the issues with launching games, apps and online features has spread from PS3 to PS4 as of 6:29 p.m. ET.
