NBA 2K17’s MyCareer mode returns to telling a personalized story of your rise through the NBA ranks — this time with a friend and teammate at your side, as you can see in a new trailer from publisher 2K Sports.
This year, MyCareer focuses on your created character and a teammate named Justice Young, played by Michael B. Jordan, who form an up-and-coming duo dubbed "Orange Juice." It’ll be up to you to choose your player’s path through the NBA — and whether you’ll have Young at your side every step of the way, or leave him behind to pursue your own ambitions of stardom.
As you progress through your career, you’ll have to make decisions about endorsement deals, practice drills, relationships with other players and more. And as you build your chemistry with Young, you’ll fill an in-game Orange Juice meter that will let you direct Young around the court — and even control him.
NBA 2K17 is set for release Sept. 20 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It will be the first Xbox One game to support high dynamic range color. For much more on the game, check out our comprehensive hands-on gameplay preview.
