For Honor closed beta arrives later this month

Fight for honor — and for your faction

For Honor publisher Ubisoft will be running a closed multiplayer beta for the game from Jan. 26-29, the company announced today.

Unlike many betas, there won’t be any timed console exclusivity for this one. The For Honor closed beta will be available during those dates — Ubisoft did not provide specific times — on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Interested parties can sign up for beta access on the game’s website.

The beta will offer the chance to try out the War of the Factions in For Honor, a feature in which players choose a particular tribe to play as. For Honor features three factions: the Knights, the Samurai and the Vikings. The game will track “all multiplayer activities across all platforms from all players,” and the winning faction will receive in-game rewards on top of the rewards that everyone will get. (Any rewards earned in the beta will transfer to the full game for people who buy it.)

For Honor, which will include a story campaign in addition to the multiplayer action that players can try in the beta, is set for release Feb. 14. For more details, you can watch a new trailer announcing the closed beta dates above.
